Legislative Overview ~ April 3, 2025
The legislative session is heating up as lawmakers tackle an ambitious agenda. While many bills were slated today for debate and decision, only a few made it to the floor due to lengthy floor discussions. Passionate yet respectful deliberation was the hallmark of the day, with legislators strongly advocating for their positions. With 54 days of the 80-day session completed, it’s likely we’ll see extended floor sessions in the coming weeks as they work to address the backlog.
Here is a summary of what took place during today’s floor sessions:
6 Bills Passed in the Senate and awaiting Governor’s Signature: HB1176, HB1194, HB1322, HB1375, HB1476 & HB1588. Those which were failed include: HB1525.
0 Bills Passed in the House and awaiting Governor’s Signature: Those which were failed include: SB2128 & SB2261
The Bills we are tracking regarding the business world were many, but none of them made it to the floor due to lengthy deliberations on just a few bills.
